Intergenerational Dialogue
Venue: Durban University of Technology
Time: 10h00 to 13h00
Intergenerational dialogue is where young generations are in a conversation with older generations, this is a platform where our young people can learn from the progress that the generations before them made especially on matters relating to climate action, older generations can learn from younger people on what they want for their future. Our SAYCCC Durban Network created this platform to also foster intergenerational equity, which refers to the full, equal and meaningful participation of youth in all activities, processes and platforms for climate action. Intergenerational equity is an integrated approach, concerning the well being and equity of current and future generations, who most likely will face difficult living conditions in a changing climate, but who are not responsible for causing them.
