OUR MAIN GOAL is Intergenerational justice
The Northern Cape Youth Network's goal is to achieve climate justice as a matter of intergenerational justice. Intergenerational justice refers to the full, equal and meaningful participation of youth in all climate change activities, processes and platforms. This is an integrated approach, concerning the wellbeing and equity of current and future generations, who most likely will face difficult living conditions in a changing climate, but who are not responsible for causing them.
Youth Must benefit from the province's RENEWABLE energy technology.
the Northern Cape has the potential to derive a significant portion of its electricity capacity from clean, secure, and sustainable sources of energy. The youth are more than 60% in the province's population, and SAYCCC believes that in order to generation long term growth, development and employment, the focus must be on this constituency. Solar energy is widely regarded as a solution that will not only provide an answer to alternate energy sources but it is an innovation that provides sustainable social and economic value because energy is a key driver to generate growth, development and employment.
